Eight Weeks Old!

Tummy time is made a little easier if you stick your tongue out.

I decided after I put this on her that this was truly the last time I'd make her squeeze into those "premie" shorts and the "newborn" onesie.

Shawn and I spent the morning cleaning the house and then in the afternoon we went to Concord Mills mall where we met Christina, Phoenix, Karra, and Hannah. For some reason Phoenix loves hanging out in Avery's stroller.

They came back to the house later and Matt joined us for supper...tacos.

Avery's first convention was at Denton. We drove up for the evening meetings and then for the weekend. She did really well...sleeping during most meetings and awake in between. We enjoyed our time in meeting this year and know that next year when she's running around will be a lot more challenging.

Seven Weeks Old Already

Avery is 7 weeks old! She loves to smile and sometimes makes little cooing noises. She continues to love playing on her activity mat and is now grabbing for the toys a lot more. She never misses a meal and always drains all 4 ounces from her bottle. She has continued to be a pretty good sleeper...getting up once or twice a night to be fed. We have noticed that instead of being up for an hour each time, now we're usually down to 30-40 minutes. Overall, she's a very happy baby and we are very happy parents!

Avery is so happy in the morning when I'm washing her face, dressing her, etc. that I've decided to do a little photo shoot every morning. I'm going to miss this "happy baby" time when I go back to work.
